Personally, I'm not a fan of the styling. Hopefully it drives just as well as a Miata should. That will answer the question once and for all. Weigh in with your opinions below.

Miata is not always the answer, it never should have been.
There, I said it!

NA Miata is always the answer. ND isn't.

I think the cats out of the bag... you see miata wasn't the answer. 929 is the answer and the miata was a diversionary tactic to keep 929 prices from sky rocketing thus keeping them in the hands of true enthusiasts that participate in secret scca spec sedan racing.

Unless your asking about cars that have a better feeling and are more fun to drive, in which case E36 and E30 would be the answer

As an owner of a '91, this is not the answer. I kind of hate the front. Hopefully it's better in person. It looks like it's trying so hard to be an F-type but then it got sideswiped by Kodo on the way out of the design studio.

I think it looks great! It's got some aggression in the design.

"have a better feeling and are more fun to drive"
Completely subjective criteria...doubt either of those will put a smile on my face as big as my E46

Depends really, stock for stock the E46 might have a bit more smile factor ness. Yeah, that's right, ness.

I like it. I think it's the best looking roadster this side of the F Type. Now all it needs is about 250-300 horsepower, a 9,000 RPM redline and an exhaust that sounds like it's off a MotoGP bike and it'll be perfect.

Interesting update, but nowhere interesting enough to get me to sell my S2000 and buy one.

I am only a humble NA driver...but to me this would make a fine answer! I love the front end. I love the return to lightweight. Make the motor a winner (which is an area the Miata has always struggled) and its a hit!
